About me

My name is Phoua Moua, and I am from Stockton, California. I am the oldest of seven siblings, with four sisters and two brothers. Growing up, I often helped take care of my younger siblings. Watching them grow up so quickly taught me how precious time and memories are.

This inspired me to earn my Bachelor of Fine Arts from UC Davis in 2009

My name is Phoua Moua, and I am from Stockton, California. I am the oldest of seven siblings, with four sisters and two brothers. Growing up, I often helped take care of my younger siblings. Watching them grow up so quickly taught me how precious time and memories are.

This inspired me to earn my Bachelor of Fine Arts from UC Davis in 2009, where I developed my passion for creating and preserving memories through art. I later earned my Master’s degree in Photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where I learned the technical skills needed to bring those memories to life through photography.

My goal has always been to capture people’s most special moments so they can look back on them, cherish them, and remember them for years to come.

The same visual connection that touches my clients so deeply is what once helped me survive my own life-altering trauma in April 2006. I experienced a congenital cerebral AV malformation that caused bleeding in my brain, rupturing the vessels between my arteries and veins and wiping away many of my memories. The same visual connection that touches my clients so deeply is what once helped me survive my own life-altering trauma in April 2006. I experienced a congenital cerebral AV malformation that caused bleeding in my brain, rupturing the vessels between my arteries and veins and wiping away many of my memories. I spent an entire year in rehabilitation, relearning how to walk, read, and speak. My doctors used images—shapes, colors, nature, and animals—to guide my therapy, and those visuals became the foundation for relearning, remembering, and rebuilding my memory.

I have devoted my life to photography, providing reliable and heartfelt service to my clients. With nine years of experience as a wedding photographer, I am committed to ensuring my clients can relive and cherish their wedding day for a lifetime. I have photographed a wide range of settings, from natural outdoor scenes to church weddings
